  • Dr. Ayanna Gore, Facilitator

    Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Ayanna Gore was the first in her family to receive a college degree. After college, Dr. Gore started as a high school science teacher and then went on to lead school turnaround efforts in 2016 as a school leader at Chicago Public Schools (CPS). After CPS, Dr. Gore served as a school leader and Executive Director of Summit Sierra High School in Seattle from 2018-2021 where her leadership focused on developing anti-racist leadership within students. Dr. Gore is currently the Vice President of Selection at Teach For America (TFA) working on creating equitable selection systems. Dr. Gore holds a B.S. in Biology from Loyola University—Chicago and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from DePaul University. In her free time, she enjoys being a dance mom for her four-year-old and teaching fitness classes.
