Dr. Leonard Bernstein

Dr. Leonard S. Bernstein was a lead author of Chapter 9 ("Sectoral Costs and Acillary Benefits of Mitigation") of Climate Change 2001: Mitigation, Working Group III's contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Third Assessment Report (TAR), and a member of the Extended Team for the IPCC TAR Synthesis Report.  He holds a PhD in chemical engineering from Purdue University and is the author of over thirty articles on the social, economic and environmental impact of climate change.  He currently heads L.S. Bernstein & Associates, L.L.C., which advises companies and trade associations on political and scientific developments on climate change and other global environmental issues.
